Open WPHP Archive Materials Now Available via JSTOR’s Independent Voices

The open access Washington Prison History Project (WPHP) has contributed to a new JSTOR/Reveal Digital collection, Independent Voices. WPHP materials are now available through the American Prison Newspapers portal.  From the announcement:   JSTOR has officially launched the American Prison Newspaper (APN) collection with the first six titles. New Open Book in Pressbooks: Dr. Julie Shayne’s Persistence is Resistance

UW Bothell IAS faculty Teaching Professor Dr. Julie Shayne has published a new open book, Persistence is Resistance: Celebrating 50 Years of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies.  Shayne chose to publish Persistence is Resistance using the UW Libraries’ open publishing platform, Pressbooks. For Shayne, open publishing with Pressbooks enabled her to publish quickly and reach broad audiences.
