The UW Libraries has been piloting open hosting platforms over the past few years and we are pleased to announce that Manifold Publishing (digital book publishing), Digital Scholarship Hosting (Omeka, WordPress, Scalar, and more) and UW Pressbooks (for creating and adapting Open Educational Resources) are now part of the UW Libraries’ permanent service offerings! New Open Book in Pressbooks: Dr. Julie Shayne’s Persistence is Resistance

UW Bothell IAS faculty Teaching Professor Dr. Julie Shayne has published a new open book, Persistence is Resistance: Celebrating 50 Years of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies.  Shayne chose to publish Persistence is Resistance using the UW Libraries’ open publishing platform, Pressbooks. For Shayne, open publishing with Pressbooks enabled her to publish quickly and reach broad audiences.
